Synopsis
An evening of archive treasures from Northern Ireland's Screen's Digital Film Archive presenting moving image capturing Enniskillen and Fermanagh. Alongside a wealth of materials from the UTV archives there is also amateur footage shot on 8mm and colourful tourist board films from the 1950s made to promote the attractions of the area. From films on island dwellers, to the weird and wonderful works of local artist Gordon Johnson, to features on local crafts, traditions and legends, the event will showcase Fermanagh in the Twentieth Century as captured on film.
Evan Marshall is the Broadcast Archivist at Northern Ireland Screen. One side of his family is from Fermanagh and he spent every summer of his childhood in Enniskillen.
